Common Computer Problems and How To Fix Them Part 1

More fixes for common computer repair problems.

Everyone uses computers, but many people don't know a lot about them. This puts the user at a disadvantage because they not have the knowledge to fix common computer problems and they can also be unaware of the consequences of their actions. Perhaps you know more than most, or maybe you are a total novice, either way I have some tips that can help you navigate the confusing world of computing.

Almost every one has the ability to fix common computer issues and manage their digital life. What people lack is information. Just like most maintenance for automobiles can be performed by a driver with adequate knowledge, most computer issues can be fixed by a user who has the correct tools and information.

These tips are for Windows 7. So if you have Windows 8 or Windows XP these will not apply to your computing experience.

1) Your Computer Is Behaving Strangely:

If you notice that you computer is acting weird and you are not sure why the first step is to ask Windows to automatically fix the problem. To do this open the Control Panel and click Find and Fix Problems. This is a automatic system utility that will try to find misconfigurations and system errors and fix them. It doesn't always work but when it does work it is the easiest solution and can save you a lot of grief.

2) My Computer Won't Boot Correctly

In a lot of cases this is a woulda shoulda coulda situation but if you have the presence of mind to do this BEFORE you start having boot problems you will be ahead of the game. Create a Emergency Boot Disk. To do this click Start->Maintenance->Create A System Repair Disk. Then if your computer won't boot for any reason you can use this disk to fix the problem.
